Mickey & Donald sell satay, roti canai in Disney animated series
Disney is serving up some local fare in its latest animated short series, Mickey Go Local.

The South-East Asia division of the American media giant is releasing a six-episode series, each spanning two minutes, which features Singapore and Malaysia’s food, traditional clothes and architecture.
アメリカのメディア大手の東南アジア部門は6つのエピソードをリリースしており、それぞれの長さは2分ほどで、シンガポールとマレーシアの伝統的衣装や建築に焦点を当てている。
Its first episode, Master Hawker, sees Mickey making and selling satay and Donald Duck tossing the roti canai in the air at a hawker street. When Goofy passes by, the street vendors pull out all the stops to impress him.
最初のエピソード。マスターホーカーでは、ホーカーストリートにて、ミッキーがサテーを売り、作っており、ドナルドダックがロティチャナイを焼いている。グーフィーが通り過ぎたとき、路上の売り手が彼にとまるように促す。
“We are committed to creating locally appealing stories that are relevant to our fans. The Mickey Go Local animated shorts are the first time our beloved characters are seen enjoying Southeast Asia’s charms, providing heartwarming moments for kids and families,” said Amit Malhotra, The Walt Disney Company’s regional lead for emerging markets (direct-to-consumer & international) said in a press statement.

Master Hawker can now be viewed on Disney Channel Asia’s YouTube page. Its second episode, Peranakan Spice, will be available Aug 30.

The rest of the episodes will premiere on a monthly basis until January 2020.
