1. は(wa) ・・・topic, contrast

        e.g., 明日(あした)は雨(あめ)だ              As for tomorrow, it will rain.

                日(に)本(ほん)は雨(あめ)じゃない As for Japan, it will not rain.

2. が(ga)・・・Subject of Predicate, Object of Emotion, Object of Potential, New Information, Identifier                                                                                                               e.g., 雨(あめ)が冷(つめ)たい  Rain is cold.

                 雨(あめ)が嫌(きら)いだ  Rain is the one that I dislike.

                 日本語が話せる I can speak Japanese.

                バスが来(く)る    The bus will come.

               *Said when you’ve found a bus is about to come.

                誰(だれ)が乗(の)る？   Who will take (transportation)?

3. も(mo)・・・inclusion, surprise

     e.g., アメリカも雨(あめ)じゃない   As for the US, it will not rain, too.

            １０(じゅう)時(じ)間(かん)も雨(あめ)だった It rained (surprisingly) for 10 hours.
